HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant II to support the Center for Limb Loss and MoBility (CLiMB) located at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle, WA. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to researchers within the VA Puget Sound Health Care System.
The CLiMB is a research group focused on preserving and enhancing mobility in Veterans and others with foot and leg impairments or amputations. This is a full-time position in direct support of research protocols involving assessment and training of individuals who have experienced limb trauma.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of biomechanics and familiarity with the function of gait laboratories and research protocols is desirable. Interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and staff. Ability to learn new software quickly, troubleshoot computer related issues, and provide a high attention to detail. Knowledge of Matlab, Vicon Nexus, Cortex, and Visual 3D is highly desirable. Strong writing skills are also desirable.
Minimum Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical/Biomechanical/mechanical Engineering, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physiology or related field from an accredited institution required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: 3-5 years of relevant experience required.
