HJF is seeking a Clinical Nurse Research Coordinator to support the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program (IDCRP) at the Immunization Health Branch in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to IDCRP. US Citizenship is required for this position.
The incumbent will perform a variety of duties to provide a full scope of quality nursing services in a clinical care facility for patients and to maintain a therapeutic environment through identifying, correcting, and reporting health and safety hazards.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of procedures and techniques necessary for performing clinical and research tasks; ability to learn and become proficient in data acquisition and clinical responsibilities related to research protocols; excellent interpersonal skills.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: RN or LPN. Graduate from an accredited nursing program, Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred for the RN; Associate’s degree or completion of Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience required as RN coupled with BSN; 2-4 years of experience coupled with Associate's or completion of Licensed Nurse Program for LPN; 6+ years preferred.
Physical Capabilities: Long periods of sitting, standing, escorting patients, carrying light items; frequent lifting, stretching and other physical exertion during positioning of patients and moving equipment; may encounter patients who are confused, agitated, or abusive.
Required Licenses, Certification or Registration: Licensed as a Registered Nurse, certified in basic cardiac life support (BCLS).
Work Environment: Office and clinical patient care area; possible evening and/or weekend hours. Exposed to patients’ conditions and some unpleasant sights, smells, and contagious diseases.
Background: U.S. Citizenship required; eligibility to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance.
