HJF is seeking an HRIS Specialist to support the Human Resources Department located at the HJF Home Office in Bethesda, Maryland. 

This position supports the Director of Human Resources in the administration of a cloud based configurable global Human Resources Information System (HRIS) which promotes ease of employee engagement with the Human Resources Department and drives efficiency. Responsible for the maintenance, administration, and continuous development of the HRIS platform, currently, UltiPro.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain knowledge of current configurable HRIS platform capabilities, features, and enhancements, and keep pace with future upgrades. Use of this knowledge should be used to identify process improvement and automation to improve efficiencies.
  2. Provide functional support to the Human Resources Department users and HRIS functional area administrators. Partner with stakeholders and users to maximize the configurable features of the current HRIS platform and advance their proficiency.
  3. Ensure HRIS system integrates properly across the organization and with external vendor systems such as benefit carriers and recruitment services
  4. Regularly conduct system audits to guarantee data integrity and help resolve data issues. Create ad-hoc and custom queries and run standard reports as needed.
  5. Develop and document systems processes and user guidelines. Partner with the HR team members to provide training to end users on new functionality. Participates with HR Leadership to evaluate implementation of system modules to enhance functionality and availability of information. Produces system and procedural documentation.
  6. Performs other administrative duties or projects as assigned. 
  7. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include the attendance of and participation in required training for role. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient in MS Word, Excel, HRIS (UltiPro preferred); Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Must be customer service oriented and able to handle interruptions; must have the ability to prioritize; excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all levels of employees and management; good organizational skills; detail oriented; good follow up with customers. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.

Minimum Education: Associate’s or vocational/technical school degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources.

Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience. Former HRIS implementation highly desirable. Former experience with configurable HRIS systems highly desirable. UltiPro/Ultimate Software required.

Required Licenses, Certification or Registration: Preferred, Human Resources Information Program (HRIP) by the Intl. Association of Human Resources Information Management (IHRIM) highly desired. Any certification by The HR Certification Institute (HRCI) or the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) highly desirable.
