HJF is seeking a Field Operative for the Neurology Department located at Uniformed Services University (USU) located in Bethesda, MD. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to USU.
The incumbent will serve as a Field Operative responsible for providing operational and logistical support for an operational monitoring project entitled “Combat and Training Queryable Exposure/Event Repository (CONQUER)”.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements. B.A./B.S. degree required, M.A./M.S. preferred. Past military experience and familiarity with combat training operations required. Phlebotomy certificate or equivalent experience, preferred.
Minimum Experience: 0-2 years previous experience working with military personnel required. Experience working with or as a Special Forces operator highly desired. Knowledge of heavy weapons systems desired.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Ability. Excellent organizational skills required. Attention to detail in coordinating training schedules with military personnel a must. The individual is required to function with a high degree of professionalism, and with a high degree of independence; must also be able to work as a team player and under the direction of the Principal Investigator and Program Director. Excellent verbal and written skills are also required.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Controls. Incumbent performs independently in carrying out assignments, following established instructions and guidelines. Work is reviewed in progress and upon completion for effectiveness, technical accuracy, adequacy, and compliance with instructions and established guidelines, although personal initiative, creativity and suggestions for modifications for more effective guidelines are expected.
Physical Capabilities. The physical activity includes walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items, such as cases of sensors, will be required.
Work Environment. The primary work environment is that of military bases. In-field assignments are required and flexibility in work locations and travel will be needed.
