HJF is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to support the Physical Therapy Department located at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to the Physical Therapy Department. US Citizenship is required for this position.
The Incumbent will Identify patients scheduled to receive physical therapy in an outpatient setting and administer and track collection of biweekly patient-reported outcomes. Provide physical therapy treatments in an outpatient orthopedics setting for active duty Service members, Veterans, and beneficiaries.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanor; Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopaedic setting within the last 5 years of overall experience; Ability to learn new software quickly (including but not limited to electronic health records and scheduling systems), Demonstrates competence in oral and written communication; Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner; Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Software including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience in or exposure to research in a clinical setting is Preferred.
Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree for a Physical Therapist Assistant is required. Bachelor's a plus.
Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: 3-5 years of Relevant experience is required.
Required Licenses, Certification or Registration: Certification/licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Work Environment: This position Takes place is a typical office setting.
Background/Security: U.S. Citizenship required; eligibility to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance.
