HJF is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the Navy Marine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) Drug Screening Laboratory located in Great Lakes, Chicago. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to NMCPHC.
The candidate will be responsible for the accessioning of forensic specimens for analysis in support of drug abuse testing.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: BS degree in a Physical Science.
Minimum Experience: 2 - 4 years of experience in a clinical lab setting with experience in immunochemistry analyzers for analysis of forensic specimens.
Physical Capabilities: Job performance requires the ability to move around and between several laboratory areas. Fine motor coordination in manipulation of laboratory materials is essential. The individual must be able to stand and/or sit for lengthy periods to include, but not limited to, processing of specimens, operation of instrumentation, and data analysis at a computer terminal.
Work Environment: Laboratory.
Background: U.S. Citizenship required; eligibility to obtain and hold a Secret Security Clearance.
