HJF is seeking a Senior Physical Security and Credentialing Specialist to support the Human Resources Department located at the HJF Home Office in Bethesda, Maryland.

Perform Facility Security Officer (FSO) duties in submitting and tracking required candidate/employee data. Interface with government customer security representatives regarding ongoing compliance and periodic formal inspections, while maintaining an approved Security Program. Develop processes for worksites to facilitate onboarding candidates and employees as appropriate to fulfill their work requirements. Caries out duties in support of the physical security protocols for the foundation.

Responsibilities:

  1. Submitting and tracking required candidate/employee data, including finger printing, as necessary to meet facilitate candidate meeting site access and job security clearance requirements.  
  2. Establishes and enforces internal policies and reporting requirements that provide for appropriate administrative actions taken against employees who violate requirements of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and maintains and stays current with the changes to the NISP and Industrial Security Letters.
  3. Ensure HJF compliance with DSS requirements for a cleared entity, includes maintaining insider threat programs, reviewing and developing processes necessary to address security risk and developing appropriate security related training.
  4. Responsible for monitoring the security operations for the organization and implementing physical security policies, regulations, rules, and norms and make sure that the environment in their organization is safe for employers and visitors.
  5. Acts as the security liaison between HJF and work site military security management offices and other user agencies concerning security matters and keeps key management informed of all security matters. Corresponds with DISCO, DSS Field Office Representative and User Agencies.
  6. Implement physical security protocols, create & manage emergency response procedures and access control, and conduct physical security & safety assessments.
  7. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience serving as a Facility Security Officer (FSO). Familiarity with security clearance levels and the processes to obtain government security clearances and background checks for employees. Hold an active DOD Top Secret (TS) clearance.

Minimum Education: Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: 3 – 5 years of relevant work-related experience. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead role.

Work Environment: Office.

Background/Security: Must hold an active DOD Top Secret (TS) clearance.
