HJF is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support the Warfighter Medical Optimization Division in the 711th Human Performance Wing at WPAFB in Dayton, OH. The Senior Scientist is responsible for systems design and configuration, implementation, testing and maintenance of Total Exposure Health research involving toxicology models, radiation detectors, chemical analysis and computer interfaces for the purpose of collecting, processing, and transitioning research in conjunction with a specified program.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designs, implements, tests and maintains research product lines related to Total Exposure Health involving toxicology, radiation detectors, chemical analysis, and computer interfaces.  
  2. Lab and field testing and engineering of current and developing technologies.  
  3. Designs, implements, tests and maintains new software programs involving entirely new software and modifications and extensions to existing software packages.  
  4. Consults with physicists, mathematicians, computer scientists and technologists.
  5. Performs other duties as assigned by HJF in support of sustaining and acquiring new lines of work.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough understanding of the underling principles of industrial hygiene, exposure science, and chemical analysis as it applies to bioenvironmental engineering and medical health protection

Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Masters degree in Bioenvironmental Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or similar field required. PhD preferred. 

Minimum Experience: 6 to 10 years' experience as a scientist/program manager

Physical Capabilities: Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time

Background: Must be a US Citizen and the ability to obtain a Public Trust/Common Access Card (CAC).
