HJF is seeking a Proposal Manager to support the Business Development Department located at the HJF Home Office in Bethesda, Maryland.
Under the general direction of the Director, Corporate Initiatives, serves as a proposal manager in support of HJF-identified competitively awarded opportunities (including contracts and cooperative and assistance agreements) offered by the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies and civilian organizations in furtherance of military research related objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Understanding of federal government procurement, solicitation processes, and compliant proposal production. Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous proposal efforts.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Business Administration or a related discipline required. Experience with Federal procurement and proposal development can offset education requirements.
Minimum Experience/ Training Requirements: 3 – 5 years of related experience.
Work Environment: Office.
