HJF is seeking a temporary, part-time to support the Center for Rehabilitation Sciences Research (CRSR) located at the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, Maryland. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to CRSR.
The Research Assistant will assist the Principal Investigator and Research Coordinator with the baselining of midshipmen per the NCAA DoD Grand Alliance: Concussion Assessment, Research and Education (CARE) study during plebe summer. The USNA is a designated performance site within the NCAA-DoD Grand Alliance: Concussion Assessment, Research and Education (CARE) Consortium. The CARE Consortium’s goal is to better understand the natural history and return to play criteria of NCAA athletes. As a member of the USNA surge team, you will assist in the collection of baseline data in support of the CARE initiative, as well as the overall support of the warfighter. During this period, you will provide critical support for USNA midshipmen, clinical care providers, and groundbreaking research in the field of traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be organized and attentive to detail. May be required to work variable schedules as needed.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Experience: 0 to 2 years’ experience
Background: Eligibility to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC); eligibility to obtain and hold a Public Trust background.
