HJF is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant to support the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Program (IDCRP) located at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, Virginia. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to IDCRP. This is a full time 40 hours/week position, temporary for about 4 months with the possibility to extend past that and/or grow into a hire within HJF.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Practical experience reading excel spreadsheets. Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Possess critical thinking skills. Ability to lift heavy boxes up to 25 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Minimum Education: Associate's degree required.
Minimum Experience: 0 - 2 year’s office experience.
Work Environment: Office environment.
Hours: This position is 40 hours a week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.
Background: US Citizenship required. Eligibility to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC); eligibility to obtain and hold a Public Trust background.
