The Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF) is seeking a temporary intermittent (16-20 hours a week) Administrative Assistant to support the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) activities in Rockville, Maryland for 3-4 months. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services CDP.
CDP has the mission to train military and civilian behavioral health providers to provide high quality deployment-related behavioral health services to military personnel and their families. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for managing the development, delivery and evaluation of a range of training programs delivered through various distance learning tools.
Telework is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people; excellent organizational, clerical and administrative skills; must have knowledge of proper grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. and be adept at using electronic forms of communication. Must be able to travel between CDP Headquarters and USU (4301 Jones Bridge Rd, Bethesda, MD) with some frequency.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Associates degree
Minimum Experience: 1-3 years experience
Physical Capabilities: Walking, standing, lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. and sitting.
Work Environment: Office setting and traveling by car or public transportation
