HJF is seeking a Bioinformatics Research Analyst to support the Gynecologic Cancer Center of Excellence (GYN-COE) located at the Women's Health Integrated Research Center (WHIRC) in Annandale, VA. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to GYN-COE translational research initiatives.
The successful candidate will be part of a bioinformatics team responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting bioinformatics software and database solutions in collaboration with clinicians, scientists, and technical staff.
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: PhD or MS preferred, however, a bachelor’s degree in computer science/bioinformatics or other major extensive bioinformatics experience and documentation of professional experience in computational biology will be considered.
Minimum Experience: 4-6 years in a related/relevant research/production environment required.
Physical Capabilities: Requires long periods of sitting.
Work Environment: Office and laboratory environment.
Background: Must be a U.S. Citizen and will be required to obtain a favorable National Agency Check with Law and Credit (NACLC).
