HJF is seeking a Research Scientist - Computational Brain Biomechanics to support the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command's Biotechnology High Performance Computing Software Applications Institute (BHSAI) [www.BHSAI.org] located in Frederick, MD. HJF provides scientific, technical, and programmatic support services to the BHSAI.
The incumbent will be working in an interdisciplinary environment to develop and apply computational solutions to biomedical problems, using bioinformatics, computational chemistry, predictive toxicology, pharmacology modeling, physiological data modeling, and systems biology. This position is focused on physiological/biomechanics modeling of human brain using finite element analysis (FEA)/fluid-structure interaction (FSI) techniques.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The candidate is expected to simultaneously work on multiple projects, involving a diverse and interdisciplinary team of scientists across multiple laboratories
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Ph.D. in a related discipline, post-graduate experience, and a strong publication record.
Minimum Experience: 2 to 4 years’ experience
Background: Must have lived in the US 3 out of the past 5 years; eligible to pass a NACI background.
