HJF is seeking a Financial Analyst III to support the Financial Planning & Analysis Department located at HJF Corporate Headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland. 
 
The incumbent will be responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for financial planning and control. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Position resides in the Financial Planning Department but is fully allocated to support the financial needs of the Clinical Trials function.

Responsibilities:
 

  1. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance on all Clinical Trials Accounts.
  2. Establishes new Clinical Trial awards in Oracle Financials system.
  3. Coordination and reconciliation of all check deposits on behalf of Clinical Trials.
  4. Performs audits on all Clinical Trials accounts including revenue versus budget analysis, indirect cost analysis, and report variances.
  5. Closes out all expired Clinical Trials awards according to Foundation policies and procedures, including the establishment of Multi-source accounts for residual balances.
  6. Continuous review of awards to assess financial balances, inactivity and make determination of best course of action.
  7. Participates in Oracle testing to ensure any new functionality or system modifications do not adversely impact specific Clinical Trials processes.
  8. Development of procedures for financial management and oversight of Clinical Trials awards.
  9. Prepares periodic management reports to facilitate decision-making at the Foundation.
  10. Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of spreadsheet software; ability to structure and perform sophisticated financial projections and analyses; sound judgment and independence in daily work function; ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks; ability to assimilate detailed information into the bigger picture; excellent interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service

Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business related field

Minimum Experience: 4 to 6 years experience in accounting, finance, or budgeting

Physical Capabilities: Prolonged sitting using a personal computer; 

Work Environment: Office environment
