HJF is seeking a Research Assistant (Part Time) needed to support the The Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to USUHS. Research Assistants will be expected to provide support on a number of military suicide prevention studies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of standard laboratory techniques; ability to follow detailed instructions; good communication and analytical skills
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, public health, and/or related field. Additional desired qualifications include attention to detail, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, ability to work independently as well as part of a team, critical thinking skills, prior experience in a research environment, interest in suicide prevention research, and a strong commitment to the care of military and VA patients with mental health conditions.
Minimum Experience: 0 to 2 years’ experience
Physical Capabilities: Long periods of standing and sitting; handling various chemicals
Work Environment: Laboratory environment
