HJF is seeking a Clinical Molecular Geneticist to for the Collaborative Health Research Initiative Program (CHIRP) at the Uniformed Services University (USU) in Bethesda, Maryland. HJF provides scientific, technical and programmatic support services to the CHIRP. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience analyzing and interpreting genomic data to join our team in the advancement of genomics in DoD healthcare and research. Experienced, Board-certified, clinical molecular geneticists are encouraged to apply.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: These requirements imply that the individual possesses:
Minimum Education/Training Requirements: Ph.D. in related scientific discipline or M.D. who can correctly perform and interpret molecular analyses relevant to the diagnosis and management of human genetic diseases, and who can act as a consultant regarding laboratory diagnosis of a broad range of molecular genetic disorders. Board-certification in clinical molecular genetics is required.
Minimum Experience: 2 years related research experience.
Physical Capabilities: Work involves long periods of standing.
Required Licenses, Certification or Registration: Board certified in clinical molecular genetics
Supervisory Responsibilities/Controls: Reports to the Clinical and Bioinformatics Core supervisors.
Work Environment: Clinical environment; may require working evenings and weekends.
